Hydraulic energy

Hydroelectric production is the art of turning the potential energy of water into electrical energy. Its two advantages are the possibility of stocking the water, i.e. energy, and producing a large amount of power in record time, during peaks in electricity consumption.

Hydroelectricity is flexibleand a key component in the balance of the electricity system in France. Melting snow, rain and rivers feed the barrier lakes to provide water that is immediately available, totally renewable and non-polluting and which does not produce any waste. We simply let nature do the work.

At the heart of the Pyrenees and in the Massif Central, we optimise our production by managing the water in our reserves in order to put it on the market at the right moment.
