A new social dialogue

SHEM has drawn up a “Social Plan” to accompany the modernisation of its organisation, production facilities and management methods.

This has led to a company agreement on “The new Employee Representative Institutions” to create the best possible negotiating conditions for signing a social pact. The aim is to combine the vital flexibility of work organisation with employee well-being.


SHEM’s 270 employees are divided between the head office in Toulouse (102), the maintenance workshop in Laruns, Pyrénées-Atlantiques (43) and the 9 groups in the Pyrenees, Massif Central and Lot Valley.

These are all direct jobs, as most of our employees and their families live and work in the mountains and valleys where the facilities are located. We have always given priority to local recruitment and invitations to tender from firms in the region.
