In 2007, SHEM set up its head office in Balma, in the Toulouse conurbation. In 2008, it equipped the building with a hundred photovoltaic panels with a total power of 21.15 kW. Deployed as a sunshade, they significantly improve the building’s energy performance rating by producing 20 MWh of green energy every year.

The 90 people based in Balma work in the engineering, financial, accounting, design office, operations, safety and environment, legal, personnel and training departments, providing the day-to-day support needed to run all the production sites.
